Flemingdon Neighbourhood Services serves over 5,000 clients each year - children, youth, abused women, immigrants, seniors and those with vulnerable housing all access our services seeking to improve their lives. A donation to FNS directly helps the families in Flemingdon Park.

- 1 in 3 live on a family income of less than $30,000 per year.
- 39% of families have one parent - 87% of those are led by women.
- The 2006 unemployment rate was 17.2%, as compared with 6.7% in the rest of Toronto.
What is Flemingdon Neighbourhood Services doing to help?
- In 2010, 3210 households received support from the Housing Program including accessing our Rent Bank loan and the Winter Warmth Fund.
- Last year 579 women used our Women's services.
- In 2010, our Settlement Program helped 471 new immigrants, 201 people received employment support and 863 individuals participated in settlement and employment group sessions.
- Last year 1135 boys and girls participated in our Youth Programs with 12,537 visits to our youth lounge.
- 25,441 visits for our Drop-in services in 2010
100% of your donation goes directly to our programs. How can your donation make a difference? For example:
- A $35 donation allows 1 girl to participate in our 8-week girls self-defense program that teaches young girls how to stay safe and alert through self-defense techniques.
- A $75 donation allows 1 youth to participate in our 8-week youth kitchen program that develops skills in food preparation, menu planning, nutrition and cooking - skills that will prepare them for employment within the food industry.
